team. There are currently openings for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering
Geologist.
Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist:
BACE Geotechnical, a division of Brunsing Associates, Inc.
has a career opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist in
our Santa Rosa office. Our projects are located mostly in Sonoma and
Mendocino Counties and include coastal bluff studies, hillside grading, slope
stabilization, dams, roads, bridges, commercial, school, and residential
developments. Our clients include state and local municipalities,
hospitals, schools as well as private developers.
Requirements (negotiable):
- 5 years or more of experience.
- Geotechnical Engineer registration or registered P.E. qualified to take
the G.E. Exam or
- Engineering Geologist qualified to take certification exam.
- Ability to manage project schedules and budgets.
- Report preparation proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Manage technical staff.
- Oversee field and laboratory operations.
- Oversee investigation and construction activities.
- Manage all phases of the geotechnical investigations for major
development/construction projects.
- Supervise and mentor staff engineers and technicians.
- Train staff in basic engineering procedures and techniques.
- Prepare and present proposals, scopes of work and budgets for new
projects.
- Prepare and/or review technical reports.
- Interpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analyses.
- Supervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability and
seismic hazards.
- Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with recommendations.
- Develop and maintain an active client base.
- Must be capable of assuming responsibility and take charge of relatively
small to moderately complex projects.
