Engineering Geology

BAI has earned a reputation for high-quality, specialized engineering geologic studies. Our professional staff of geologists conduct detailed geologic investigations focused on characterizing the engineering properties of the local geology. We utilize standard as well as innovative methods ranging from studying historic aerial photographs to field mapping and reconnaissance in difficult-access conditions. Our Certified Engineering Geologist is an expert in the coastal geology of Mendocino and Sonoma Counties, and our coastal studies often include cliff rapelling and marine reconnaissance of sea caves to fully assess bluff stability conditions. Our project sites also range far inland to include the complex geologic conditions in the Geysers geothermal area.
