BAI’s laboratory routinely tests soils for:
- moisture content
- dry and wet density
- compaction
- classification (Atterberg Limits and sieve analysis)
- strength (unconfined compression, direct and triaxial shear)
- permeability
- volume change potential (expansion and consolidation).
BAI also performs gradation and quality tests for asphalt and concrete aggregates. Compression tests are routinely performed on rock cores and on concrete, mortar, and gunite cylinders. Rock core samples are also tested for their split and direct tensile strength, and third point loading and flexural strength, in accordance with the International Society of Rock Mechanics.
- Concrete, Cement and Masonry Materials.
- Reinforcing Steel, Structural Steel and High Strength Bolts
- Shop Welding and Field Erection
- Asphaltic Concrete and Roofing Materials
